In the midst of the last, rather hectic, semester we've somehow neglected to post about one of the most memorable moments of the Season.
Way back in September, Yael Naim and her band came to play at the Union Theater. Under normal circumstances, when bands come to play here, we do our best to accommodate their needs, make them comfortable and at home...and by and large stay out of their way. Yael's band though, was truly out for a good time...and we were more than happy to show them around.
Their concert fell on Homecoming Weekend here at UW - and as a result, the opportunity arose to have them ride along on the Wisconsin Union Directorate Homecoming Float. Whether or not they exactly knew what they were in for - I'm not sure... but as the float rounded State Street, and "New Soul" blasted from the float speakers, it was clear they were having a grand time!

Later the next evening at their concert, during the encore, the band came out in red Wisconsin Union Initiative attire... the crowd went wild!
